Quogue Library Long-Range Plan 2020-2025
Quogue Library strives to provide quality materials and services, which support the
educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of the entire community in an
atmosphere that is welcoming and respectful.

Our mission is to provide access to the world of information and discovery through
varied collections, stimulating programs, leading-edge technology and a responsive staff
in a welcoming environment.

“The Library serves as a place where residents of all ages may interact, learn
and flourish while meeting their personal, educational and professional needs.
The Library also recognizes its special mission to young children and their
parents to encourage a love of reading and learning.”

FACILITIES
Goal: Operate the Quogue Library as a safe and welcoming space for all.
Goal: Provide services and open hours to support the needs of the Quogue
Community.

COLLECTIONS
Goal: The Quogue Library will provide responsive collections that satisfy the
recreational and informational needs of Quogue residents while promoting life-
long learning.

TECHNOLOGY
Goal: Ensure Quogue residents have access to established and emerging
information technologies as well as opportunities to achieve technological
literacy.

CHILDREN’S SERVICES
Goal: The Quogue Library will provide a friendly, welcoming environment and
experience for children, their parents, and caregivers.

​

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Goal: Strengthen community partnerships for the benefit of the Community.
Partnerships with local schools, organizations, government, and businesses are critical
to our success and relevance in our community; connections create conditions to
establish learning opportunities for the collective benefit of the community.

PROGRAMS
Goal: The Quogue Library will offer programs for all age groups.
Virtual and in person.

Support and prioritize potential programs to deepen our relationship with The Quogue
Historical Association, the Westhampton Garden Club and The Art Committee.

Periodically survey patrons on program suggestions and use that feedback to guide
program planning.

FINANCIAL
Goal: The financial stability of Quogue Library.

 

PUBLIC RELATIONS AND MARKETING
Goal: The Quogue Library will actively promote the programs and services offered
by the library.
