Quogue library uses Libby, a free app found in your App store on your internet-compatible device, for downloading from its collection.

Ebooks are books that exist in our virtual collection. They can be downloaded to your personal device to be read or heard. Once a book is downloaded, it can be read offline when away from a WIFI signal or can be streamed to save space on your device.

Downloading requires a little bit of work your first time and then will be largely automated once set up. You will need to have an active library card. Staff is happy to help you learn how to download from our collection.

Benefits of downloading books from Quogue Library include:

24/7 access to the Library collection.
Sometimes you will find a book available on line that has long hold wait times on the paper book.
The ability to access multiple libraries collections expands the choices you have available to you.
Downloadables offer features many readers like including tracking a reader’s place in a book, allowing readers to make notes and place book marks and allowing readers to track their reading history.

REQUEST HOME DELIVERY

Can’t come to the Library? We can help! Choose your own materials from our catalog or let one of our staff members recommend titles for you. Get a monthly delivery of books, audiobooks, or DVDs selected just for you by our staff members.

Home Delivery services are available to individuals with significant barriers to visiting our location, including convalescing individuals, residents of retirement homes, adult care homes and assisted living facilities. There is not a time limit on these services. Please note that lack of transportation alone does not qualify an individual for Home Delivery.

RESERVE A MEETING ROOM

It is the intention of Quogue Library to provide free, accessible meeting rooms to support the needs of our community. Library meeting rooms are available to the public for non-commercial purposes on equal terms, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of the individuals or groups requesting their use. Participants must abide by Quogue Library Meeting Room Policies (Click here for the full policy).
