It is the intention of Quogue Library to provide free, accessible meeting rooms to support the needs of our community. Library meeting rooms are available to the public for non-commercial purposes on equal terms, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of the individuals or groups requesting their use. Participants must abide by Quogue Library Meeting Room Policies:
> None of the Quiet Rooms are 100% sound proof
> No food or drink allowed
> Room reservations are one-hour blocks. Patrons can stay later if no one else has
booked the room.
>The Conference Room can be used for two-hour time blocks by a single person as
long as a group doesn’t come in. IF a group comes in looking for a study space, the
single person can be kicked out.
>Please let our Library staff know when you are done using the room.
> The reserving organization is responsible for setting up and putting away furniture
within the time reserved. The room should be left as found.
> No nails, staples, adhesive tape or tacks may be used on the walls of the library.
Decorations, scenery or signs are not permitted.
> Library personnel must have free access to meeting spaces at all times. The Library
reserves the right to monitor all meetings conducted on the premises.
> The Library is not responsible for the safekeeping of any equipment or any
personal items.
> Groups using Meeting Rooms must bring their own supplies.
> Attendance at meetings is limited to the capacity of the Room
> The library has the right to cancel room reservations at any time in use.
> No meeting or program in the library may be broadcast or televised without the
Library’s permission.
> Room cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance or as soon as
possible by calling 631-653-4224, ext 101. Multiple cancellations or failures to
appear for room reservations may result in the loss of meeting room privileges.
